A very strong ridge of high pressure will build over the West next week. This will bring unseasonably warm temperatures, with many locations expected to approach or break daily record highs. Additionally, monthly record highs for the month of March could be approached as highs 80 degrees or warmer become likely across the Treasure and Magic valleys. Boise’s earliest 80 degree day on record is March 19th, and this warm spell will threaten that record.
